The random Love Island 2020 thing fans are pining for

Love Island is back in 2021 – but people are missing a random part of the 2020 vintage.

The summer is here, which means the ITV2 show is returning to our screens.

And, of course, it comes with the customary text messages sent to the tanned conestants lying around the villa.

With Chloe coming into the show, looking for a man to couple up with, the SMS has started going.

And it has made Love Island fans pine for a moment from 2020.

It is making people miss Ovie Soko, according to Love Island fans on social media.

The contestants have to shout “I’ve got a text!” when it lands.

Ovie would then shout “message” – and it turns out it was more popular than you’d think.

Meanwhile, Love Islanders are going to be in the money when they leave the villa, according to new resarch.

But no matter what fate has in store, the line-up for Season 7 is set to become the richest yet – according to research by coffee retailer Coffee Friend.

In fact, the study estimated the average Love Island contestant will take home £252,000 from Instagram posts alone in their first year – around the same as the average house price in the UK.
