Steve Jobs’s daughter competes at international equestrian competition in Rome under eyes of her mom

Steve Jobs’ youngest daughter competed in the international equestrian Longines Global Champions Tour in Rome today as her mother Laurene Powell Jobs, who has sworn to leave her nothing of her late father’s multibillion-dollar fortune, watched.

Eve Jobs, 23, was ranked fifth out of the 1,000 best riders under 25 in the world by Horse Sports and will certainly be a tough competitor at the three-day competition taking place September 16 to 18.

Since she began riding at six years old Eve has earned thousands of dollars in prize money for her victories. Her wins come as no surprise given she trained at a $15million ranch in Wellington, Florida, her mom bought in 2016 with the fortune she inherited from her late husband, according to the South China Morning Post (SCMP).

Laurene Powell Jobs, 57, inherited the Apple founder’s $21.7billion fortune when her husband passed away from pancreatic cancer in 2011.

She watched her daughter compete from a table on the sidelines wearing a cream top and sheer cardigan while sipping bottled water and checking her phone.

Eve donned white riding pants and a navy blue jacket paired with black boots and a helmet, which matched her horse’s saddle.

The 3.5-acre ranch Eve trained at has been dubbed ‘the equestrian capital of the world’ and features four bedrooms, five-and-a-half bathrooms, a 40-foot long screened-in pool, a detached barn for up to 20 horses, plus a show-jumping training rink.

The inheritance made Powell Jobs the 35th-richest person in the world. However, in an interview with the New York Times she revealed that she doesn’t plan to give Eve – or her other two daughters – a single dollar of the fortune.

‘I’m not interested in legacy wealth buildings, and my children know that,’ she said in The Times interview.

‘Steve wasn’t interested in that. If I live long enough, it ends with me,’ Powell Jobs added.

Instead she plans to spend the money on philanthropy and said that handing money to Eve or her sisters Reed and Erin, shows a ‘kind of accumulation of wealth (that) is dangerous for a society’.

She told The Times: ‘It’s not right for individuals to accumulate a massive amount of wealth that’s equivalent to millions and millions of other people combined.

‘There’s nothing fair about that. We saw that at the turn of the 19th and 20th centuries with the Rockefellers and Carnegies and Mellons and Fords of the world. It shouldn’t be this way.’

Even though she isn’t getting some of the $21.7billion Eve has been making a name for herself. The equestrian star graduated from Stanford University, where her parents met, earlier this year.

After keeping a low profile throughout her childhood she shocked the Internet when she starred in Glossier’s holiday ad campaign alongside Euphoria actress Sydney Sweeney and RuPaul’s Drag Race runner-up Naomi Smalls.

As reported by SCMP she was photographed for the ad in a bubble bath and sipped wine wearing nothing but gold jewelry and Glossier’s shiny lip gloss.

Eve now documents her life on Instagram, sharing mostly modeling photos and pictures from equestrian competitions with her more than 227,000 followers.
