Loose Women panellist Jane McDonald have revealed fans have raised more than £12,000 for the hospice where her partner Ed was looked after before his death.
The 58-year-old TV presenter announced Ed Rothe had passed away in April after a battle with cancer.
Today she shared an emotional message with fans revealing how “touched” she was by their support.
She explained: “I would like to say a huge heartfelt Thank You to everyone who donated to the Wakefield Hospice Just Giving fund in Ed’s memory. Your generosity has raised a total of £12,125.38!
“These funds will make a significant difference to the patients and their families at the hospice.
Jane added: “I would also like to say how touched I was at the kind and thoughtful messages left on the Just Giving page. You have all been wonderful! Love Jane x.”
Jane had asked fans to donate to the hospice rather than buy flowers in memory of Ed.
Fans were quick to offer their words of support again.
One said: “How wonderful Jane, shows just how much you are loved and supported, sending biggest hugs and lots of love, stay strong beautiful lady.”
A second added: “Bless you Jane, how good that something positive has come from such heartache sending you hugs xx”
And a third wrote: “Always in our thoughts and prayers Jane x”
