I’m A Celeb stars Jordan North and Beverley Callard have reunited to plan a Spanish wedding in ITV’s new travel series.

The radio DJ and Coronation Street legend formed an unlikely friendship when they co-starred in the most recent series of Ant and Dec’s I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here, which took place in a spooky Welsh castle.

Now, the BBC Radio 1 presenter and vegan soap star are heading out on a 900-mile Spanish road trip to plan the perfect vow renewal ceremony for Beverley and her husband.

So who is Jordan North and how much does he earn at the BBC? Here’s everything you need to know as Beverley and Jordan: Destination Wedding continues.

Who is Jordan North?

Jordan North is a 31-year-old radio DJ and television personality, best known for presenting shows on BBC Radio 1 and reaching the final of I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here! in 2020.

He was born into a military family, with both his dad and brother having served in the Armed Forces.

His older brother Ryan serves in the 2nd Battalion, The Parachute Regiment as a sergeant, and appeared on ITV’s 2019 documentary The Paras: Men of War, which gave an insight into one of the British Army’s most elite regiments.

The University of Sunderland graduate presented shows on stations including Spark FM, The Hits Radio and Preston FM before working as a researcher and producer at BBC Radio 5 Live.

After a stint at Capital Manchester and Rock FM, he began appearing as a freelance cover presenter for several Radio 1 shows from 2014.

He became known as the station’s own “supply teacher” after regularly standing in for Scott Mills and Nick Grimshaw, before getting his own show in 2020.

Since September, the Help I Sexted My Boss co-host has also presented the BBC Radio 1 drivetime show with Vick Hope.

Who is Jordan North’s partner?

Jordan North tends to keep his personal life private, so it isn’t known whether he is currently dating anyone.

He was, however, definitely single at the time of going into the I’m A Celebrity castle when he told Radio Times: “I am single at the moment. But that is not the reason why I am going in!

“I just want to have fun and this is something that will stick with you forever. The fact I am going to be doing it doesn’t seem real.”

What is Jordan North’s net worth and BBC salary?

Jordan North’s exact net worth is not known, but it is thought to be around $1 million (£730,000) according to internet reports.

His BBC earnings are also unclear, however the broadcaster’s most recent annual report, which lists the salaries of its highest-paid stars, revealed that over the 12 months up until July 2021 he was earning less than £150,000.

Beverley and Jordan’s Destination Wedding airs at 8pm on ITV and ITV Hub tonight
