Two men arrested after fight breaks out at Stansted Airport

Two men have been arrested following a fight involving a group of people at Stansted Airport on the afternoon of Friday, May 13. Officers were called to reports of a fight in the airport at 2.50pm and arrived at the incident within three minutes.

A 30 year-old was questioned on suspicion of affray, criminal damage, and burglary while a 33 year-old was held on suspicion of affray and possession of an offensive weapon. Both men have since been released on bail until May 30. Police have asked anyone who saw anything, or who has video footage of the incident, to get in contact.

A statement from Essex Police said: “We were called to reports of a fight involving a group of people at Stansted Airport shortly before 2.50pm on Friday 13 May.

“Officers arrived within three minutes. Two men from Dagenham were arrested.

“A 30 year-old was questioned on suspicion of affray, criminal damage, and burglary while a 33 year-old was held on suspicion of affray and possession of an offensive weapon.

“They have both since been released on bail until 30 May. We need anyone who saw anything or has any video footage to contact us.
