Philip replied: “Well, I’ve got to be alive for it, haven’t I?”

Charles said: “I knew you’d say that!”

Yesterday, during a 15-second video on Prince William’s Instagram, royal fans were delighted to spot a picture of Prince Philip and Prince George sitting in the background of the shot.

The picture shows Prince Philip and Prince William’s son George when he was two – an image which the Duke of Cambridge had previously released after his grandfather’s death.

The picture, reportedly taken by the Duchess of Cambridge outside their Norfolk home, depicts the two royals sitting together in a horse carriage.

The hour-long documentary will air on Wednesday, September 22 at 9pm.
