Parents of children in a primary school in West London were contacted ‘suddenly’ this morning and told to collect their children from the school.
Pupils at Ruislip Gardens Primary School on Stafford Road were sent home at around 11am this morning (Tuesday, June 29) but remain in the dark as to why.
Kim Lake Benson Bond is a grandmother of three children who attend the school, and she told My London that the school has given ‘no explanations’ to parents as to why their kids were suddenly sent home.
She said: “My stepdaughter dropped her three children off this morning at the normal time, and then a few hours later she got a call saying she had to pick her kids up as the school was closing, with a refusal to say why.”
There is some speculation that the incident is Covid-related, according to Kim. However this has not been confirmed by the school.

Kim said that the situation is “very concerning” for parents.
“The whole school is closed, we don’t know for how long and we don’t know if anyone needs to isolate – nothing,” she added.
My London contacted Ruislip Gardens Primary School, but was informed that no information about the closure of the school can be given at this time.
