Met Office predict exact date temperature will finally hit 20C again

It’s no exaggeration to see this has been one of the most miserable Mays in living memory when it comes to weather.

Despite summer being tantalisingly close, we’ve seen the full range of British weather, from hail to gale force winds and while at time it seems the drizzle will never end, there is some hope on the horizon according to experts.

The Met Office have stuck their head above the parapet and boldly predicted the next time the capital will see soaring temperatures and clear blue skies.

The day to mark in your calendars appears to be Sunday May 30, which is good news if you have plans for the weekend!

We won’t have to endure this cold and stormy weather much longer

On that day the blockade of grey drizzle over the capital will be lifted and we will bask in 20C temperatures.

Currently, the forecaster claims that the weather will begin to pick up from Thursday after two days of drizzle.

Here is the full forecast for London for the the week ahead.

Tuesday (May 25): Another showery day across the region on Tuesday as more showers develop, these heavy for some and possibly thundery. Showers slowly easing from the west during the evening.

Maximum temperature 16C.

Wednesday (May 26): Largely dry on Wednesday, possible light showers later.

Maximum temperature 17C.

Thursday (May 27): Sunny spells on Thursday but a chance of some showers remains.

Maximum temperature 19C.

Friday (May 28): Cloudy with light rain Friday. Temperatures gradually returning towards average.

Maximum temperature 19C.

Saturday (May 29): Cloudy changing to sunny interval’s by late morning.

Maximum temperature 19C.

Sunday (May 30): Sunny.

Maximum temperature: 20C.
