After a couple of weeks of glorious sunshine and warmer temperatures, it looks like summer might be over already.
Heavy rain and grey skies have instead hit the capital, much to the disappointment of many.
However, fortunately Londoners will not have to wait too long until this grey rainy weather shifts, and some more sun is sent our way.
While we cannot expect to see the same highs of the past few weeks when temperatures reached a toasty 29C, summer isn’t over thankfully.
According to BBC Weather the sunny spell will return from June 28th, when the rain disappears and the temperature rises slightly to 24C.
After this the following days will offer sunny intervals with a gentle breeze, as we experience four days with highs of 25C from June 29 until July 2.
Granted these temperatures are by no means the highest we can normally hope to expect during the summer, but it is a significant jump from the mid-teen temperatures we have seen lately.
Unfortunately, until this mini-heatwave on June 28th, we still have another week of cool, grey and rainy weather to get through.
The beginning of the week starting June 21 will see highs of just 16C or 17C with light rain and cloud on the horizon.
Later in the week the temperature will rise slightly to 20C or 21C, but the light rain showers will continue until the weekend.
