EastEnders’ Jake Wood shares snap with former castmates and fans say same thing

Max Branning star Jake Wood has been absent from Albert Square since his dramatic exit from the soap earlier this year.

Since leaving Jake has been up to a number of different things, from spending more time with his wife and kids, to preparing for and starring in a brand new West End production.

He recently mentioned a number of his EastEnders castmates had been to see the new production, 2:22 A Ghost Story including Charlie Brooks, Danny Dyer, and Tanya Franks.

In one of his latest posts on social media Jake shared a snap with another selection of his ex-castmates, though it’s not clear whether they were attending his show or catching up with a meal.

Fans were excited to see the post though and immediately all started posing the exact same question to Jake.

In the ensemble snap, shared on Sunday (September 19) to Jake’s Instagram fans of the soap will spot a few familiar EastEnders faces.

Most recognisable of these is Laila Morse, 76, who played Big Mo for more than 20 years.

Also in attendance was Stevie Basuala, who plays Isaac Baptiste on the East London soap.

Jake captioned the post, which also featured his wife Alison and some other friends, simply: “Beauties”, with three love hearts.

Fans reacted to the post with excitement at seeing Jake back with his cast-mates and all asked the same question: “Brilliant actors and actresses are you coming back on eastenders Jake?”

Is your weekly dose of drama from Albert Square simply not enough? Do you find yourself scrolling through the social media pages of cast members, trying to guess what might happen next? Are you as well acquainted with the ‘Enders as your are your own family?

“Please come back to EastEnders,” a second pleaded.

“Max, you have got a new baby girl. Coming back?” another questioned.

All of them will have been disappointed by Jake’s response though, replying “no David”, to one of those questioning.

So it may be safe to say Jake won’t be coming back anytime soon.
