Jasmine Harman is best known for presenting the Channel 4 programme A Place in the Sun, but there’s lots about her you didn’t know.
The 45-year-old has presented the show alongside Jonnie Irwin since 2004 but before that she was a qualified fitness instructor who left her hometown of Hackney to live in the Algarve, Portugal.
While out there, she worked a stint as a marketing manager for a health resort. But it was in the sunny tropics of the coastal southern region where Jasmine found her real calling.
She began writing professionally and hosted her own twice-weekly live magazine show on the Algarve radio station, Kiss FM.
Then in 2004 she beat hundreds of applicants to get her role of presenting the show, and has done it ever since.
As part of the job, she has been able to jet all around the world helping Brits find their perfect place in the sun.
She said: “One of my all-time favourite places we’ve been is St. Vincent in the Caribbean. It’s beautiful, unspoilt and perfect for winter sun – I even went back there on holiday after we’d finished filming!

“Another of my favourite countries has got to be Italy though – I love everything about Italian culture. It feels like my spiritual home and the scenery, people, language, style and food keep me coming back time and time again.”
It was on the show where she met her now husband Jon Boast, who was as a cameraman on the property show. Jasmine admits their love kindled on a night out together.
She told The Mirror earlier this year: “We went out dancing one night that weekend and I like a man who’s not afraid to make a fool of himself on a dance floor. He was just so much fun and I guess I fell in love.”
Jon and Jasmine eventually tied the knot in 2009 after five years of dating.
The presenter even posted an adorable wedding throwback earlier this week with the caption: “Happy Anniversary to my darling Hubby. So lucky to have you by my side. Love you Always and Forever.”
The presenter, who has Greek-Cypriot heritage and family in Cyprus, now lives in Carshalton, South London with her husband Jon and their two children, Albion and Joy.
And she’s certainly not hard up. It may surprise you to know that she has a staggering net worth of $8million.
