Paige Rice, 22, from Marston Green, Solihull, died after the car her boyfriend was driving collided with a taxi in Queensway tunnel in Liverpool, with England footballer Jack Grealish donating to a GoFundMe page in her memory
England footballer Jack Grealish has donated £5,000 towards a fundraiser for a woman killed in a car crash.
Paige Rice, 22, was visiting her boyfriend in Liverpool when they were involved in a crash with a taxi on Sunday morning.
The young nail technician has been described as “amazing and inspirational” in a fundraiser set up to help her family following her death.
Grealish has become the top donor on the GoFundMe page after his generous donation, BirminghamLive reports.
He posted a ‘RIP Paige’ message on his Instagram account today, underneath a family photo released following her sudden death.
He also added a crying face emoji and a broken heart in the touching post.
Paige, from Marston Green, Solihull, died in hospital after she was a passenger in a car which collided with a taxi in the Queensway tunnel in Liverpool.
Her partner was driving the Audi S3 they were travelling in when the smash happened.
Her boyfriend is in a ‘very critical condition’, while the taxi driver is in a serious but non life-threatening condition.
It is understood big-hearted Grealish, 26, did not know Paige, but it is believed he reached out to one of her friends and offered to help fundraise.

The GoFundMe page for Paige’s family has raised £18,000 in just six hours – with the total now standing at almost £28,000.
The fundraiser describes Paige, who worked selling cars and as a nail technician, as “amazing and inspirational.”
“She was such an amazing woman with such a clean heart who had so much love to give. Anyone she met she had a huge impact on and a smile that would light up any room,” the GoFundMe page said.
Mum Clare Rice said her daughter, who has a large following on Instagram, was a “beautiful woman inside and out”, while her “smile would light up a room.”
Paige’s mum Clare told BirminghamLive : “Paige and myself had spoken recently about death and she told me that if she died to remember that she lived life to the absolute full. And she did.
“Paige was visiting her boyfriend in Liverpool when she died. I am still in shock at the moment and the only thing that is keeping me going is the incredible support and lovely tributes that people have left on social media.
“It shows just how loved she was.
