Kendall Jenner gets behind the wheel to personally deliver her new tequila brand

Kendall Jenner announced she was in the alcohol business earlier this year and shocked onlookers by personally delivering her tequila product to stores on Monday.

The reality TV star, 25, was dressed in white with a dark 818 vest and sunglasses on to reveal her new line at an alcohol store in Los Angeles.

She completed the delivery driver look in a comfortable pair of classic black Converse trainers.

And fans were treated to a host of 818 merchandise including hats and shirts as the model emerged from the bright green truck to throw the items their way.

The surprising stunt saw Kendall look at home behind the wheel of the sizeable vehicle which was branded “Kenny’s Tequila Delivery Service”.

The side of the van was also emblazoned with the words “we are carrying precious cargo”.

The star unsurprisingly stopped to snap herself in selfie mode while in the van.

The Keeping Up With The Kardashians star then headed to the store to proudly see her stock sitting on show.

She posted videos to her Instagram Stories of her “shift” and could be heard to be excited by the displays, calling them “so cute”.

The new line, made from agave plants grown in Jalisco, Mexico, includes Anejo, Blanco and Reposado varieties.

She revealed on Monday that the line is now available in California and anticipates other states will soon be fully-stocked too.

After announcing the product earlier this year, Kendall came in for criticism of its name.

People claimed that the 818 title was an attempt to diminish tequila’s cultural significance in the Latin community.

Bartender Lucas Assis told Yahoo Life in February: “There was just a lack of respect to the culture and the importance of tequila to Mexico.

“She didn’t even know how to properly drink tequila.”

He claimed that the reported four-year brewing timeframe Kendall spoke about wasn’t long enough for the agave to mature, staring it should take up to nine years before it’s ready to harvest.

He snapped: “Using Mexico’s culture and history for nothing other than capital gain is culture appropriation.”
