Ant McPartlin and Anne-Marie make red carpet debut as new Mr and Mrs at NTAs

Ant McPartlin and Anne-Marie took to the red carpet at the NTAs. It is the first time they’ve attended a showbiz event after saying ‘I do’ last month

Ant McPartlin and Anne-Marie have made their first red carpet debut as a married couple

The telly icon and his former PA tied the knot with his former PA, 43, at a church in leafy Hampshire in August.

And as they put on their glad rags for the National Television Awards at the O2 Arena on Thursday night, they looked every inch the smitten pair.

Dapper Ant kept it traditional in a black tuxedo and Anne-Marie put her best fashion foot forward by wowing in a lemon yellow gown with a flattering pleated skirt, dipping cleavage and bardot sleeves.

The duo – who sported glowing tans following their recent honeymoon to Portugal – happily cuddled up together as they posed for snaps before being joined by Declan Donnelly – who was best man on their big day – and his wife Ali Astall.

The foursome then were captured laughing and joking together on the red carpet in a series of snaps.

Ant and Dec are no strangers to the National Television Awards having won the Best Presenter gong a whopping 19 times.

They hope to secure the gong for a 20th time at tonight’s bash.

The Geordie stars are up against Alison Hammond, Bradley Walsh, Holly Willoughby and Piers Morgan in the Best Presenter category.

Former GMB host told The Mirorr that he is determined to beat favourites Ant and Dec and win the Best Presenter gong at tonight’s Awards.

Piers, 56, has urged viewers to vote for him if they are outraged he was forced to leave the Good Morning Britain show for ‘expressing his opinion’.

He said that Ant and Dec, both 45, would also be horrified if he bags the award – joking that the duo would need a medical team on standby.

Piers added: “I deserve to win because everyone’s sick and tired of Ant and Dec automatically winning this award, which bears no relation to reality.

“They’ve done nothing special in the last year, even they would admit that.

“I think it’s time the procession came to a shuddering halt and the Morgan bandwagon was rewarded with glory.

He went on: “We can’t have those two little vain-glorious Geordies standing there for the 20th consecutive year.“
