Investing.com – Israel stocks were higher after the close on Tuesday, as gains in the , and sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Tel Aviv, the rose 0.64% to hit a new 6-months high.
The best performers of the session on the were Tower Semiconductor Ltd (TASE:), which rose 3.73% or 344 points to trade at 9570 at the close. Meanwhile, Ormat Technologies (TASE:) added 3.48% or 1180 points to end at 35110 and ICL Israel Chemicals Ltd (TASE:) was up 3.08% or 53 points to 1776 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Bezeq Israeli Telecommunication Corp Ltd (TASE:), which fell 2.13% or 7.4 points to trade at 340.0 at the close. OPKO Health Inc (TASE:) declined 1.90% or 28 points to end at 1443 and Electra Ltd (TASE:) was down 1.48% or 2600 points to 173650.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange by 218 to 206 and 24 ended unchanged.

Crude oil for March delivery was up 1.39% or 0.73 to $53.15 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in March rose 2.37% or 1.30 to hit $56.05 a barrel, while the February Gold Futures contract rose 0.63% or 11.55 to trade at $1841.45 a troy ounce.
USD/ILS was up 0.53% to 3.2493, while EUR/ILS rose 0.89% to 3.9379.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.25% at 90.528.
