Survivor winner Parvati Shallow has requested a temporary restraining order for domestic violence protection against her estranged husband John Fincher, just days after filing for divorce from him.

Parvati, 38, has requested that her ex not ‘harass, attack, strike, threaten, assault (sexually or otherwise)’ her or ‘contact, either directly or indirectly, [her] in any way,’ according to Us Weekly

She has also asked that her ex stay at least 100 yards away from her, her home, vehicle, and workplace, in addition to supervised visitation for their daughter, Ama, age three.

Fincher, 38, has asked a judge to shoot down Parvati’s protection request, and in his response detailed a heated argument he allegedly had with his estranged wife on August 20. The couple had a disagreement over whether or not their child should sleep at a pal’s home.

‘During the argument, which lasted a few minutes, Parvati and I both raised our voices,’ Fincher said. ‘Parvati was sitting on a couch during the argument. I was standing. At the end of the argument, I walked over to the couch where Parvati was sitting.

‘I reached forward and grabbed Parvati’s phone which was on the couch. Parvati swung her arms and hands at me when I picked up her phone. Parvati hands touched my arm and my torso. I grabbed the phone and walked away, toward the front door of the house.’

He said he ‘did not “unlock” Parvati’s phone’, and ‘began to walk away’ as his ex placed a phone call to authorities to their friend’s residence.

The police ‘interviewed the adults at the house’ and ‘made no arrests’, according to Us Weekly, citing court documents.

Fincher insisted he had no ‘physical contact’ with his estranged wife that evening.

‘I did not hit, kick, push or in any other way have any physical contact with Parvati at any time [that night],’ Fincher said.

In her recollection, however, Shallow alleged that Fincher ‘got in my face’ and was ‘verbally and physically aggressive’ during the dispute, which was allegedly not the first time this had occurred.

‘It made me feel really scared, like he’s crossed a line and his rage has overcome him and that he can’t stop himself,’ she wrote.

Parvati said she ‘didn’t feel safe going anywhere’ with her ex that evening, and alleged he encouraged her to kill herself. She also alleges he told her he hoped she killed herself.

‘I don’t care about you. I hope you kill yourself. You can walk into traffic. You can jump off a cliff. I hope you put a gun in your mouth and blow your brains out,’ she claims he said.

Their toddler was allegedly ‘less than one foot away’ before her ex ‘lunged at me, grabbed my arm and wrestled my phone out of my hands and made a dash to the door.’

Before any decisions regarding the custody and visitation orders Parvati was seeking were finalized by the court, Fincher said he should ‘be given the opportunity to have a hearing.’

In a candid Instagram post shared Monday, Parvati opened up about the turbulence she had been undergoing as of late.

‘I’m going through a very hard time right now. In times of great challenge, I’ve learned to slow way down and take things moment by moment,’ she captioned photo of herself peacefully holding hands with other women.

‘My priority now is to create a brave, loving & safe space for me and my daughter so that I can show up with calm presence, strength of heart and resilience as we walk through this difficult time,’ she continued, along with the hashtag ‘we can do hard things.’
