George Clooney has never been more relatable after admitting to hiding from his children, who were going wild play fighting, in his closet.

The former ER actor took some time out of his busy schedule to wish his old pal Jada Pinkett Smith a happy 50th birthday in a special episode of Facebook Watch’s Red Table Talk.

Appearing virtually from his home, George, 60, confessed: ‘I’m talking to you from inside my closet because outside my closet there are twins bashing each other with swords.

‘And it didn’t seem like an appropriate way to celebrate your birthday!’

George is father to four-year-old twins Ella and Alexander who he shares with his human rights lawyer wife Amal Clooney.

Continuing with his witty birthday message for Jada, the actor added: ‘Now they tell me that you’re turning 50, which that’s not possible because that would mean that I’m 60 and that’s not possible. So you’re 39 – happy 39th – and I’m 49. I like that a lot better.’

In July, George was forced to deny mounting rumours that Amal, 43, was pregnant with their third child.

A representative for the couple said in a short statement: ‘Stories saying that Amal Clooney is pregnant are not true.’

Last year, the Ocean’s Eleven actor revealed the wisdom and life lessons he’s already taught his young children but it’s probably not what most would have in mind.

George admitted he had taught them an epic prank for when guests come to stay.

Speaking to People magazine, George said: ‘They both have learned to play pranks, which is good fun.

‘I did work with them on putting Nutella in a diaper and then eating it.’

Ella and Alexander have clearly inherited their father’s world-class acting skills as they put on quite a performance when putting the prank into action.

‘Whenever a stranger is around, they’ll come in holding it, like, “Papa, it’s a dirty nappy!” and I go, “Okay, I’ll take care of it”, and then they eat the Nutella out of the nappy,’ George explained.

He added proudly: ‘You can imagine the freak-outs we get… Yeah, I taught them that.’
